Studio Fifth Sunday was brought on to help envision a new kind of retail experience for an established online menswear brand making its debut into the brick-and-mortar world. Known for its refined aesthetic and custom tailoring, the brand wanted its flagship location to feel more like a curated experience than a traditional store. Rooted in the concept of a modern tailor for the modern man, the design brief called for a space that speaks to craftsmanship, intention, and minimalism—while still feeling immersive and exclusive.
The layout of the store was designed to guide visitors through a journey. The front functions as a gallery, showcasing a minimal selection of menswear and lifestyle goods alongside a wall of menswear fabrics that highlight the custom nature of the brand. Toward the back, guests encounter a more intimate and elevated experience, including fitting rooms that stay true to the minimalist design scheme. Each features a single designer chair and one glass wall that opens up to a vine-covered stone wall, creating an almost indoor-outdoor feel. The glass wall also brings in natural light, which subtly enhances the experience by elevating one's reflection in the freestanding mirror—adding both beauty and confidence to the moment.
Throughout the space, we remained faithful to a Minimalist Modern Interior Design language by focusing on a restricted palette of materials and obsessing over subtle, clean detailing. Every element—from lighting to layout—was crafted to enhance the sense of calm and quiet luxury. Strategic lighting plays a major role in creating mood and guiding movement, reinforcing the brand’s desire to offer not just a place to shop, but a meaningful, memorable experience.
